Front Row Motorsports has partnered with ND Racing and has announced Nuka-Cola Series driver Mark Luft will pilot the team’s #35 car this season, in a full-time effort. The move will “lease” Luft to the #35 for one season, presumably allowing Luft to gain Cup experience while running for the Nuka-Cola Series championship. It will also presumably allow for Luft to move to ND Racing beyond the 2017-2018 season.
Speed Stick moves from the #26 BK Racing team and will sponsor the #35 for at least 10 races. Additional sponsors have yet to be announced, but the team hopes to reveal a few more before Speedweeks.
The team also announced that Randy Cox will serve as the team’s crew chief.
Luft will also compete in the Nuka-Cola Series for ND Racing, driving the #06 car in that series.
Luft technically replaces driver Madelyn Riggs, who left the league after the conclusion of the 2014-2015 season, but was originally rumored to join Front Row Motorsports and drive the #35 car.
