Kevin Dilbeck to HScott Motorsports

UPDATE (7-21-17) The team will run the #46 in 2017-2018. Jay Guy has been named the crew chief of the car.

HScott Motorsports will field a second car in the upcoming Corvega Cup Series season, with driver Kevin Dilbeck behind the wheel of the team’s new car. Kevin will bring sponsor Pilot/Flying J with him, from Cindi Warner Racing, after leaving that team late last month.

While a driver and sponsor have been announced for the team’s second car, a car number and crew chief have yet to be determined. Historically, HScott Motorsports has used the #52, as they did in 2014 with Henry Dilbeck behind the wheel.

Questions remain with regards to who will be behind the wheel of the team’s #51 car, vacated by Lewis Black when he moved to Furniture Row Racing, announced in June.

HScott also announced plans to have a technical alliance with Cabanilla-Haas Racing, while they continue to receive engines and chassis from Wolkowicz Motorsports.

Kevin’s move comes a day after it was announced that Jay Robinson and Premium Motorsports, had purchased Dilbeck’s former team over at Cindi Warner Racing, and had plans to run that car as the #62 in the upcoming season. Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix, a sponsor of Dilbeck last season, initially stated they would return to sponsor him at CWR, but due to changes within Warner’s team, alluding to the merger/sale of the #36 team, have since reversed that decision, and don’t appear to be returning at all.

HScott Motorsports plans to announce a new driver for the #51 team, number for Kevin Dilbeck’s team, and crew chiefs for both later this week.
